A Year at Smith College: 2023-2024
As soon as she got to campus in August, Abby Dlug ‘26 knew she needed to capture the beauty of Smith College throughout the year. The result is a journey through the seasons at college.
“My only criteria were that I wasn’t taking videos of the same place every time (even though Paradise Pond is pretty, it gets repetitive) and that I didn’t include people. I instead wanted to focus on how the weather, nature, and time of day interacted with different places across campus.
“I am a nature lover at heart, and taking these videos reminds me that there is beauty everywhere, you just need to stop and look.”

Tournament creator Emma Merchant ‘24 doesn’t remember how they came up with the idea for their final project in Prof. Tess Grogan’s class (ENG 213: Playing Knights: Chivalry, Romance, Fantasy), but wanted it to be “a balance of athletic events and performance events so lots of people could participate-even if they didn’t want to fight to the death.” Video by Oona Hollister-Stanton ‘24.

I've never heard of Smith College, don't follow D III, I just happened to hear about it and tune in last night's game against SJF and it was incredible! The crowd was electric and awesome!!! Their Head Coach needs to show any and all recruits that game. I played D I ball 20 years ago against Uconn, Notre Dame etc..., but if I would've seen that type of atmosphere, I would've balled at their school hands down.
